Training of Technical Associates under Pharmacovigilance program
One day training of Technical Associates under pharmacovigilance program of India (PvPI) was organized by Pharmacovigilance & Resource centre for North India for Training and Technical Support, PGIMER Chandigarh. Training was focused over the reporting of adverse effects / side effects of medicines. Coordinator of the centre Dr Bikash Medhi Additional Prof, Department of Pharmacology PGIMER, Chandigarh, started the program by detailing the need of such trainings. Several speakers from both industrial and academic background also delivered their talk on different aspects of pharmacovigilance. Trainees were given the training of WHO’s (World Health Organization) Database regarding handing of adverse reaction data of medicines. Dr. Medhi expressed his thanks to all participants with the hope that they will implement the message of this training in their institutes for the betterment of people.
