Community Health Service Programme

Population based health care services are being delivered to approximately 50,000 populations in the rural, urban and slum communities located in Haryana and Chandigarh. The programme aims to deliver comprehensive health care using the life cycle approach in the area of Reproductive and Child Health, Adolescent Health, Environmental Health, Surveillance and Control of Communicable and Non-Communicable Diseases, Investigation of Epidemics, Health Education and Communication, Community Empowerment. Every year about 25000 clients contact Family Medicine Clinics for preventive and curative services.
